Marble floors<\/strong> must be treated with a neutral or mildly alkaline detergent<\/strong>, in order not to corrode their surfaces, possibly leaving a thin layer of wax<\/strong>, with the aim to enhance shininess and to make chairs not to get stuck, without increasing the risk of sliding.<\/p>\n

Hardwood floors<\/strong> (parquet) should be treated with quite mild detergents<\/strong> to preserve their polishing and shininess; in this case, a few wax<\/strong> is useful too.<\/p>\n

Talking about fumes and residual chemicals, commercial products contain often long-term toxic substances, which adults<\/strong> are exposed to by breathing, children<\/strong> both by breathing and swallowing: little babies crawl on the floor and bring toys to mouth. In particular, fragrances rich with allergens are often present. Common clean-and-wax products are no exception.<\/p>\n
