\"\"<\/a>Nowadays issues about protection of Nature<\/strong> are of great concern to the population. Some say that it is just a fad, others think that it is a real necessity; indeed, there are many scientific data showing a close correlation between environmental health and human health<\/strong> (among numerous publications: European Environment Agency, “Environment and human health”, EEA Report No 5\/2013) and people concerned and careful with this problem have real reason, in our opinion.<\/p>\n

Plastics are revealing more and more side-effects: when they are not following the recycling<\/strong> way, their use and abuse made them fill not only waste disposal sites<\/strong>, but the beaches and the sea too<\/strong>, with disquieting implications both for aquatic fauna and for humans, who are at the end of the food chain. In particular, plastifics additives<\/strong> (phtalates, BpA and other chemicals) released by packaging into the environment are a very concerning category of pollutants, mainly for their long-term toxicity (as endocrine disruption<\/a>).<\/p>\n

In this context, the practice of reusing detergents bottles<\/strong> by refilling them “on draft” surely helps to restrict the number of plastic packaging in circulation; some companies advocate this solution as it was ecological enough, with no care for products ingredients. Frankly there’s more to do, this is only the first step on the way towards an ecological behaviour<\/strong>: to reuse a bottle is a very little contribution to environmental protection, if the bottle is filled with not biodegradable and toxic substances. The second, more important step is to choose detergents with ingredients showing a very low environmental and health impact.<\/p>\n
