Floor is a very delicate place for a number of reasons: maybe for the constituent material, certainly for users’ exposure to chemicals in detergents.

Marble floors must be treated with a neutral or mildly alkaline detergent, in order not to corrode their surfaces, possibly leaving a thin layer of wax, with the aim to enhance shininess and to make chairs not to get stuck, without increasing the risk of sliding.

Hardwood floors (parquet) should be treated with quite mild detergents to preserve their polishing and shininess; in this case, a few wax is useful too.

Talking about fumes and residual chemicals, commercial products contain often long-term toxic substances, which adults are exposed to by breathing, children both by breathing and swallowing: little babies crawl on the floor and bring toys to mouth. In particular, fragrances rich with allergens are often present. Common clean-and-wax products are no exception.

Bensos developped Clean & Wax for hardwood and marble floor code LVCP with careful attention for each issue: low environmental impact, non-toxic substances, good performance. No fragrances inside; the wax contained is Carnauba wax, a substance of plant origin and used for foodstuffs too. The product shall be used as a common floor cleaner: diluted with lukewarm water, then distributed on the floor using a mop. No floor rinsing needed. The floor will be clean, safe for children and… nice to look! In addition, mop rinsing water will not harm the environment.
