In addition to the usual cleaning of bathroom fixture, particularly with hard water it is important to descale periodically the faucets filters and the shower head.
This is a good way:
- disassemble the filters and the seals;
- put everything into a plastic or glass bowl;
- pour Descaler code AE until submerging all the pieces and let them soak for 1-2 hours;
- then rinse thoroughly, if necessary brushing with a teethbrush to remove particularly hard encrustations.
Treating lime with an acid agents allows to remove it without scratching surfaces; however, strong acids like muriatic acid are corrosive against both chromium plating and… our lungs, since it emits toxic fumes. As a good alternative we recommend a very balanced product like Descaler code AE, as it acts more slowly but it leaves undamaged chromium plated surfaces and… both our hands and lungs too.
