Even if it is not a detergent, it can help to achieve better results in our laundry. It must be added to the last rinse, in the place of the fabric softener.
It leaves on fabrics a light and fresh, not persistent perfume. It is recommended in rainy days, when drying is so difficult that smell-producing bacteria and mould grow up.
It is an interesting alternative to perfumes in conventional laundry detergents: they are specifically formulated to be persistent in our nasal receptors, making them insensitive to lighter scents. Such persistent perfumes usually contain allergens, phtalates and high-toxicity chemicals (for example: musk ketone, suspected carcinogen; 3-p-cumenyl-2-methylpropionaldehyde, reprotoxic for mammals). Furthermore, laundry fragrances have to chemically “grasp” the fabric fibres, it cannot be rinsed off; as it is usually an ingredient of the detergent (which has to be rinsed and re-rinsed by laundry machine), the fragrance must be particularly persistent on the fibres.
Bensos’ philosophy is completely opposite to persistence either in the environment, on the fibres, or on nasal receptors… So we worked out a a delicate, not persistent formulation, to be added to the last rinse. Most important: neither allergens, nor phtalates, nor highly toxic chemicals contained. As any other Bensos’ product, no optical brighteners, no parabens inside.
