How to treat blood stains on clothes

As all homemakers know, garments and linen get blood-stained for a number of reasons: from nosebleed, to little wounds or scratches due to mosquito bites, or menstrual bleeding, from time to time we have to solve some little problems of our clothes.

Here’s a good method:

• soak with cold water (neither hot nor lukewarm, otherwise we fix stains on clothes);
• spray with Liquid Castile Soap code SAPMARS and rub;
• rinse thoroughly with cold water;
• if necessary, repeat the whole procedure, rinsing well before putting in laundry machine for normal washing.

We point out that, as other kinds of dirt, as time goes by, blood gets harder and harder to remove, because air oxidizes molecules making them darker and firmer than when they are fresh.
