After a working day, a good bath in a jacuzzi tub can help us to find again our peace and quiet. It can relieve muscle tension and contractures too.
For routine cleaning of that kind of fiberglass, we suggest Universal Degreaser code MC, diluted on a wet sponge before application.
Perhaps not everyone knows that internal pipes are susceptible to silt formation, due to lime, bacteria and mould, not only in water pipes but in air pipes too: air, pushed to create whirlpool effect, receives moisture from bath vapour itself, so pipes become the perfect environment for mould to live, when pump is off. When the whirlpool pump is on, spores are blowed outside.
To reduce as much as possible our exposure to such kind of unwanted guests, it is recommended a regular maintenance, with a frequency of some months. Pump and pipes are quite difficult to rinse well, so it is important not only cleaning the system with environmentally friendly detergents, but avoiding toxic and allergenic agents too; both for that reason and for their efficacy, Bensos’ products are recommendable.
This is the recommended procedure to clean water pipes, effective even after long-time stops:
- fill the bathtub with water, add Universal Degreaser code MC 0,5% (about 1/2 liter MC per 100 litres of water), switch on for a few minutes the whirlpool pump, then switch off and let it act for about one hour; repeat the sequence switch on/switch off/rest for 2 or 3 times, according to the soil degree;
- then add Bleaching Powder code D 1%, repeating that sequence and leaving, if the case, 1 night resting;
- empty the tub and refill it with fresh water, adding Citric Acid code ACIT 0,5%.
Here is the recommended procedure to clean air pipes, if visually dirty with silt:
- dismantle aeration pipes and soak them in a basin with Concentrated Hygienizer code IP 1 % and lukewarm water; if silt is dry from an old date, before rinsing it is recommended to rub internally with a little sponge linked with two ropes.
Bensos tested this procedure successfully with a Novellini whirlpool tub, without finding any damage in the pump system and on the surfaces. In case of particularly delicate materials, we recommend to make tests with detergents in hidden corners or in little parts of the system.
